The two winners!

Orc Pirate by Sylvain Quirion

JUDGES COMMENTS:

'All I can say is that the sculptor has caught the essence of a pirate goblin fantastically well. The face is expressive and the whole pose is great, the little bat on the shoulder is a great touch too.'

' i agree, he's captured the pirate greenskin perfectly '

' This is the one for me. Combines technical skill, personality and the subject mnatter. Just has the 'wow' thing going on that makes you immediately think 'how will I paint it?' For me, it's the winner... '

' this mini is just so classy! it has the whole pirate parody down to a tee! sculpting looks very pro' and the expression is just as good as my third place entry. this just beats the rest hands down! '

' smart, very nice. like this one loads. think it would be a tie between him and the gobbo (R) for my votes.'

' I have no idea if this little critter fits in with Kev's vision of piratemanship, but it is the best sculpted model in the entire compy . He is also fun which helps. And what is his leg tied to? '

'Stalks' by Michael Thorp

JUDGES COMMENTS:

' I love the complete alien feel to him and the fact that I could just see him on a space pirate vessel blowing the kneecaps out of the enemy. The sculpting is clean and well detailed plus its a very unique concept. '

' i Love this little guy he has so much character and very original to boot!'

' Totally off the wall but so well thought out and designed. A really original alien type (unless it's inspired by something I'm not aware of...). Cute and something I feel fits the range. Not sure if it may cause casting issues. The head is odd. Might need casting separate. '

' Dead quirky and alieny without being too comical. Reminds me a lot of Mos Eisley so I guess it does exactly what the compy asked for. Well sculpted too, of course, and the blunderbuss is a nice piratey touch '
