Artemis

Artemis

Kevs first 40mm HF Figure and named 'Artemis' because he liked the name and not as any intended reference to a Greek Goddess. This female Hoplite has been sculpted using reference material from the Boeotian period of about 395BC.

She is beautiful and i fell in love with her when he first showed me the partially completed green. In fact she almost overtook 'Gen' as my ultimate favourite HF female (Libby doesnt count!!)

Anyhow, the nitty gritty is this. She is cast in a choice of two coloured resins. The first choice is HF blue and the same blue/grey that we used for the Tom Meier Resin pirate. The second choice was an experiment by our caster and it turned out perfect...thank you for experienced resin casters that know what their customers want! The second colour is white.

The blue/grey is standard resin with a satin not glossy surface finish which is slightly more flexible than the white but that is because the white resin is a special mix which contains some magic ingredient (probably ceramic based....my caster wouldnt tell his secrets to me in case i blabbed....) that gives it a matt porcelain-type effect.

Both resin choices trim very easily with no visible marks and you will be hard pushed to find any visible mould lines....i only found one faint one on her left thigh when i dipped it.

The figure is supplied in four pieces....body, shield, scabbard & base and easily assembles with no need for any greenstuff or fillers.

The blue/grey is the standard colour choice which i will always have in stock but as the white costs nearly 3 times as much as the blue i will only keep a limited stock of those. If your order is affected by me having to get more of the white figures cast then i will contact you immediately by email to let you know.
